It’s safe to say that the last few months have thrown some serious curveballs at everyone, including the real estate industry.
Even as the largest Residential and Commercial property agency on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, Upstate also experienced the struggles of slow economic recovery, restrictions and physical distancing. Nevertheless, we embraced opportunities amidst the current situation and became more resilient than ever in providing you – our cherished clients – with ongoing, innovative service.
And it all paid off, as we’re actually showing better real estate results now than in 2019!

Commercial and Residential Performance Summary Report
Looking back at what we’ve accomplished over the past 3 months allowed us to reflect on how we can maintain, improve and evolve our services to suit the growing needs of our local community.
At Upstate, we’re consistent, committed and tenacious about Sydney real estate – which is why our results didn’t slow down across both commercial and residential sectors on the Northern Beaches.
Firstly, our Auction Clearance Rate over the last few months has remained consistently higher than the Sydney average.
Interestingly, our total enquiries numbers were up from 2019, totalling 4,715 – which is just shy of 1500 more than last year.
During these last 3 months, our team adapted well and sold 87 residential properties, which was 11 more than last year, while our leases held strong.
Enquiries for commercial properties in the area, both for buyers and tenants, have been quite high. In fact, our team leased 41 commercial properties, which was 15 more than last year.
So, despite the media saying that everything was quiet in Sydney real estate, we found it to be quite the opposite.
Despite all that’s happened, Upstate continues to work hard for you.
We’ve sharpened our services in the following ways:
